This policy explains how UES Promura collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our websites, contact us or buy from us.
Effective date: 27 October 2026
1. Who this policy covers
UES Promura (ABN 55 155 859 127), referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”, operates uespromura.com.au, band-it-australia.com.au and spareparts.band-it-australia.com.au, including aliases that redirect to them. This policy covers information handled through these websites and related enquiries, orders and customer support.
Our privacy contact is info@uespromura.com.au. We handle information in accordance with this policy and applicable Australian law, including the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles where they apply. Other organisations’ websites and services have their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect and how
- Enquiries and correspondence: your name, business, email address, phone number, message, product interests and any project, tool or application details you provide through forms, the enquiry assistant, email, phone or other correspondence. Form submissions may include the page from which you contacted us.
- Orders and support: contact, billing and delivery details, purchased products, quantities, payment status and transaction references, and information needed for delivery, warranty or support. Stripe collects payment details through its hosted checkout. Our website does not ask you to send card numbers through an enquiry form.
- Website activity: IP address, device and browser information, visited pages, referring sites, approximate location, interactions, error information and related identifiers collected through hosting, security, cookies and measurement technologies.
- Searches and tools: the questions or terms submitted to search services, product-selection choices and calculator inputs you choose to provide. Information included in an enquiry is sent to our team so we can respond.
We usually collect information directly from you or automatically through the services you use. We may also receive relevant information from a business colleague acting for you, delivery or payment providers, or a supplier helping us respond to your request. Please provide other people’s information only when you have authority to do so.
You can browse product information without identifying yourself to us. If you do not provide contact or transaction details needed for a particular request, we may be unable to answer it, process an order or provide support. We do not ask for sensitive information through our website forms; please do not include it unless we have specifically arranged an appropriate way to receive it.
3. Why we use information
We use relevant information to answer enquiries, provide quotations and product support, process payments and orders, arrange delivery, administer warranties, maintain business records, protect our services from abuse, diagnose faults, and understand and improve website content and advertising.
If we send promotional email or other direct marketing, we will do so only where permitted by law and provide a way to unsubscribe. You may also ask us to stop marketing to you by contacting our privacy contact. Essential order, safety and service communications may still be needed.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our websites use cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies. Some support security and shopping, such as remembering a cart, retaining a temporary enquiry draft, or linking an order confirmation to the browser that checked out. Others measure visits, interactions and advertising performance. Features and measurement tools differ between websites.
Our main websites use Google Analytics and Google advertising measurement, together with Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records patterns of interaction, such as clicks, scrolling and page navigation, to produce heatmaps and session replays. This helps us identify usability problems and improve content and marketing. Google and Microsoft can receive identifiers, device and usage information and process that information for their own purposes under their privacy statements. Information may be connected with their other services as those statements explain.
Spare-parts measurement includes shopping and completed-purchase events, such as product codes, quantities, values and a transaction identifier. Do not place personal or confidential information in search boxes or page URLs. We do not need your enquiry message or payment-card details for advertising measurement.
Cloudflare provides hosting and security, including Turnstile spam protection on enquiry forms. Turnstile processes browser, network and device signals to distinguish legitimate visits from automated abuse.
Read the Google Privacy Policy, Microsoft Privacy Statement and Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Notice for their practices. Embedded services such as YouTube videos may also receive usage information when loaded or played.
5. AI Search and technical tools
Questions entered into BAND-IT Australia’s AI Search are sent to Cloudflare AI Search to find relevant excerpts from our public website and document collection. This service processes the text of your question and associated technical request information. Use product names, codes and general technical questions; do not submit personal, sensitive or confidential information.
Our enquiry assistant collects information for a sales enquiry; it is not a private advisory conversation. Calculator requests may be sent to BAND-IT’s calculator service to obtain product and assembly results. Use technical values rather than personal details in calculator inputs. If you choose to send a result or project enquiry to us, we receive the details included in that submission.
7. Storage and processing overseas
We operate in Australia, but our technology providers use international infrastructure and support teams. Information may be processed or accessed outside Australia, including in the United States. Other locations depend on the provider, service and routing used; we cannot promise that website, email, analytics, AI Search or payment information stays only in Australia.
For current provider locations and processing arrangements, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and subprocessor list, Microsoft’s Privacy Statement, Google’s Privacy Policy and Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Contact us for information about the recipients and locations relevant to your request. Where Australian privacy law requires protections for an overseas disclosure, we will take the steps that law requires.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, alteration or disclosure, using measures appropriate to the information and service. Internet transmissions and third-party systems cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us if you believe your information has been compromised.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer service, orders, warranty, accounting, legal and dispute requirements. Different records and service providers have different retention periods. When information is no longer needed and retention is not legally required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details. Backups may be retained until their normal replacement cycle.
9. Choices, access and correction
You can control or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings, although blocking them can affect checkout, spam protection and other features. Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on and advertising controls, and Microsoft’s advertising settings, provide additional choices for their services. These controls do not necessarily stop all technical or security processing. Ask us if you need help making an enquiry without using an online form.
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing our privacy contact. Tell us enough to identify the relevant records, but do not email identity documents unless we arrange a suitable verification method. We may need to verify your identity or authority. We will explain any lawful reason for refusing a request and any available review or complaint options. There is no fee to make a request; we will tell you in advance if a reasonable access cost is proposed and permitted by law.
10. Privacy requests and complaints
Email info@uespromura.com.au with “Privacy request” or “Privacy complaint” in the subject, call 03 9547 5833, or write to Privacy Contact, UES Promura, 10–12 McWilliam Street, Springvale VIC 3171, Australia.
Describe your concern and the outcome you seek. We will acknowledge it and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide an expected response date. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about options available under applicable privacy law.
11. Policy updates
We will publish updates on this page and change the effective date. We will draw attention to material changes where appropriate and obtain any additional consent required by law. You can request a copy of this policy using the contact details above.
